I was born and raised in Kyrgyzstan, in the city of Karakol, and a love for nature and the mountains has always been an integral part of my life. During my childhood and youth, I tried to get out into the mountains at every opportunity. After finishing school, I enrolled in the university at the Faculty of Ecology and Environmental Management, hoping to continue connecting my life with nature in the future.

During my student years, not yet having any idea about tourism in Kyrgyzstan, I got the opportunity to work at a yurt camp during my holidays. That is how I began to delve into the intricacies of mountain tourism. Talking with travelers and guides, I listened to their stories about treks and adventures. The romance of it all was captivating, and it became the starting point of my passion for tourism. Furthermore, the job provided a unique opportunity not only to earn money but also to see the most remote, hidden corners of our country.

For many years, my friends and I worked in tourism as seasonal hired staff. We worked separately, lacking sufficient professional training, access to good equipment, and unified logistics. To solve these problems, my like-minded colleagues and I decided to unite. Our goal was to bring the trekking staff together, create favorable working conditions, and train them.

We wanted to provide high-quality services, establish partnerships with tour operators, and open a unified equipment rental center along with an information center for tourists.
Thus, bringing our dreams to life, we founded the "EcoTrek" company in 2002. At its origins were simple, hardworking people sincerely devoted to the mountains.
